I came across this delightful video about "Charley" sometime ago. I never get tired of watching it. First, because I've had cats all my life, ever since I was only five years old, and over the years I've had numerous Tiger-striped cats. Charley reminds me so much of them. However, of course there is a big difference. Charley is one of those cats that had Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a condition that affects a cat's equilibrium and in other words, the cat who has it doesn't exactly have great motor skills, can wobble as he/she walks, can fall down a lot, yet, otherwise, is a perfectly healthy cat and can live a normal life. I even did an article about it over at Associated Content.
So here is one of my favorite videos

Why I'm Starting This New Blog
I have three other blogs here, that have some of my ramblings and writings here, but I decided to start a separate one that shows off a lot of my favorite videos, slideshows and so forth. It's actually more for me than anyone else, as a place to store my all the favorite YouTube videos, whether they'd be music ones or not.
Actually the whole reason for it, is rather simple. When all the hoopla came about, about Yuwie, I decided to join up. The way Yuwie was promoting itself it sounded like the next big thing to come around on the web in a long time. So I designed a great looking profile page that people could click on, and added a lot of favorite videos and so forth.
Admittedly, even though Yuwie has only been around for a few months, it is annoying as hell. To my mind, the people who conjured up Yuwie, should have done their homework, and perhaps anticipated all the problems they constantly seem to be having. Yes, membership is climbing and spiraling upwards at a dizzying pace, thousands join daily, and that is where the problem lies. The website is almost always down for "maintenance" purposes. But there are a lot of other snags as well.
It always seems to be just too darn slow. I thought maybe, just maybe, it was due to the fact that I happen to be of the distinct class that has a Mac computer rather than a regular PC. But then I heard from others that they were having the exact same problems I was.
So here are some of my gripes about Yuwie:
'm reaching the point of just plain giving up on Yuwie....and no it's not about the money either.
I'm really beginning to think that maybe Yuwie just isn't very Mac computer friendly--lets face it most people have PCs while I'm a Mac user.
Here are some of my gripes about Yuwie:
1). Too darn slow. This is probably my number one gripe of all time. Whenever I do try to get anything done at Yuwie, I'm waiting forever to get anything accomplished there...I might as well watch my hair turn grey, and believe me, I think I could swear it has while being there.
2). While most folks can benefit from being able to have change of fonts, font colors, etc, especially if and when they do their blogs there, I can't take advantage of it...I click on the fonts, font colors, etc. and nothing happens...the only way I've been able to change or add anything, is to add the HTML coding, which I'm a little savvy on, but believe me a pain in the "A" to do
3). Leaving comments....after trying to leave comments on friends pages more than five to ten times, I then get an additional "security" code I have to type in--guess to lessen spamming, but I'm not..I just want to leave comments.
4). Yuwie is the ONLY site that makes my computer freeze. After I'm on it for only a few minutes my computer acts up, freezes and I have to shut down then reboot. Yuwie is also the only site I get those annoying pop up ads, no doubt contributing to my computer acting sluggish or freezing.
So since I did have such a great layout and added videos, I'm going to be placing them here instead, and eventually delete my account there. I will miss my friends there, as many of my friends there are the same friends I have over at my other haunt of MyLot
